What players are learning
Learn to hit off a live setter with game-like volume.
Set it up
- A live setter at the target zone.
- Hitting lines at outside and right side, with shaggers on the other side.
Run the drill
- The coach tosses a pass to the setter.
- The setter sets and the hitter approaches and swings.
- Keep the flow continuous and track kills and errors.
What to say
- Every swing is a real swing.
- Call for the ball.
- Get all the way behind the 10-foot line.
How to score it
Kills and errors tracked per hitter for the block of reps.
Make it harder
- Add a blocker, then a full defense.
