What players are learning
Learn to hold a steady platform and repeat the same contact without a partner.
Set it up
- Stand about 6 feet from a wall.
- Mark a target line about 8 feet high.
Run the drill
- Pass the ball off the wall above the line without catching it.
- Five clean passes in a row earns a step backward.
- A miss moves you a step forward.
What to say
- Platform stays out in front.
- Do not swing your arms at the ball.
- Let your legs lift the ball.
How to score it
Ladder: get 5 in a row, step back a foot. Miss, step forward.
Make it harder
- Alternate forearm pass and overhead set every other contact.
