What players are learning
Learn to win two balls in a row to earn a single point.
Set it up
- Six on six with one team receiving.
- The coach with a ball cart at the net.
Run the drill
- The receiving team must side out on the serve.
- The coach immediately enters a free ball to the other side.
- Winning both balls earns one wash point. Play to five.
What to say
- Two balls, one point.
- Finish both.
- Do not relax after the side-out.
How to score it
Only a wash — winning both the side-out and the defensive ball — scores. Play to 5 wash points.
Make it harder
- Make it three balls to earn a point.
